What is a Low-temperature chiller?

Low-temperature chiller units are specialised refrigeration systems designed for low-temperature applications below 0 °C. Unlike conventional chillers, which typically operate at temperatures of 7–12 °C, low-temperature chiller units enable stable cooling processes down to -40 °C, -70 °C or even lower.

Water-glycol mixtures or special heat transfer fluids such as calcium chloride or thermal oils, which remain liquid even at extremely low temperatures, are used for this purpose. This makes these systems ideal for industrial processes that require consistently sub-zero temperatures.
